I've been researching
activities for Summer Camp Gower, and came across
a report I wrote last time we went -
worth a read!

Summer Camp Guernsey Activities

Now that we know who's
going, we're starting to book the activities. We're
currently working on Coasteering and Climbing. There will also be a trip over
to Herm, probably a mountain bike day lapping the
island, opportunities to go into St Peter Port,
and several visits to the beach.
However, we're also planning some more activities, and need some feedback. Would you rather go sea kayaking or sailing? Or would you rather do some scuba diving? Leave comments and let me know!

Summer Camp Guernsey Travel

We've now booked the
ferry crossing and the campsite for Summer Camp
Guernsey. We traveling down to Swanage on 3 August,
and staying in the Youth Hostel there. The reason for staying
overnight there is that we're on the VERY
early crossing the following morning...
So we're going to arrive at Les Maingys 4 August, probably at about 10:30am. Once we're there, we'll be able to set up in a couple of hours (!) - but the sooner we're done with setting up camp, the sooner we can hit the beach!
We're booked on the midday ferry on 13 August on the way back - which does mean that we'll need to get a bit of a move on when it comes to packing - but we should be back in Solihull for a reasonable-ish time - around 8:30pm.
